We offer a wide variety of volunteer positions, and strive to match each volunteer to a role that fits their unique personality, abilities and schedule.
Work directly with WRC participants
Computer Instructor
Instruct a class of up to 6 people in various Microsoft Office 2010 programs. Need to be proficient in MS Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Must be adept at working with adult learners of varying skill levels.
Mentor
Volunteers with professional work experience meet one on one with women serving as a career/life coach. Initial and ongoing training provided. This position requires a solid 1-year commitment.
Participant Interviewer
The volunteer meets one on one with a participant to discuss her employment goals and help her identify WRC services/programs that are best suited for her situation.
Resume Coach
Work one on one with women, helping them develop a professional resume. Requires experience in HR or as a hiring manager.
Business Boutique Consultant
Serve as a personal shopper for participants as they shop the boutique for interview clothing. Must provide excellent customer service skills, and have a flair for fashion and fit.
Corporate Service Projects
We love volunteer teams!
If you are looking for either a one-day team project or a way for your staff to provide ongoing program support, we have customization opportunities. In some cases organizations have committed to providing one team member weekly or monthly for an afternoon to work with our participants in areas such as:

• Informational interviews to help participants learn about jobs
