Deborah is a highly accomplished and results-driven human resources leader, with over 25 years-experience in human resources. Deborah has held a variety of progressive roles which include Team Leader/Consultant, Compensation & Benefits; Interim Chief Diversity Officer; Manager, Employee Relations and Senior Human Resources Business Partner. She participated in a one year fellowship through the Health Reach Educational Trust (HRET) in Cultural Competence and incorporates that experience as a leader in Human Resources. Deborah is also the Founder of Vision Matters LLC whose mission is to assist clients in making their dreams and visions a reality through coaching and professional development.

Deborah holds a variety of certifications in Executive Coaching and Human Resources and has earned business degrees from Davenport University and a master’s degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary of Cornerstone University.

Deborah serves on the board of the Women’s Resource Center. In 2014, Deborah participated in a half marathon to raise donations for Team World Vision.  She is a supporter of World Orphans and travels internationally as a missionary.  She has served in Ghana, West Africa and Haiti.
